Over time, your computer might develop problems with its memory. Windows has a tool to check this. Open the Start Menu and search for ‘Window’s Memory Diagnostic’.
The tool offers you a choice of running either immediately or next time you start up your PC.
The scan takes about four minutes to complete the two test runs, and an on screen message will show any results, including error messages and problems.
Once the test is complete, Windows will restart automatically. If the tool detects errors, you can contact us for information about fixing them, since memory errors usually indicate a problem with the actual memory chips in your computer.
